We are delighted to share that we received over £2,800 in donations from our local community for our Charity’s Winter Appeal. This enabled us to purchase winter clothing for patients ensuring they are comfortable when returning home from hospital, and to purchase presents for children who were in hospital at UHL and QEH over the festive period.

 

We were also incredibly fortunate to receive donated toys for children of all ages and our play specialists (pictured below) handed out the presents to the children on Christmas Day.

 

Margarita Vidiella, Head of Charity said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to all those who donated to our winter appeal and to the organisations and individuals who donated presents for our young patients. After an incredibly challenging couple of years, the kindness from our local communities helped make a difference to our patients and for that we are incredibly grateful.”
