EGGS-tremely generous donations made Easter that little bit sweeter for our young patients at University Hospital Lewisham Children's Emergency department.

A huge thank you to those who so generously donated Easter eggs including:

Donations like this make such a difference to our young patients during their hospital stay.

Vicky Fernandes- Play specialist at University Hospital Lewisham explains:

Coming into a hospital can be a very stressful time and when a child has to be in for hours or admitted to the ward it can be upsetting and distressing for that child. It can be more stressful especially when you are on school holidays and would be celebrating Easter.

So, this year receiving all those Easter eggs brought a smile to each child and made them feel part of the Easter celebration.
