On 30th June, Eric Pirozzoli, Deputy Chief People Officer at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust will be taking on the extraordinary challenge of completing a 300km cycle ride in support of Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Charity to raise funds to enhance the children’s Wards Gardens at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich.

Eric said ‘My challenge involves 3 days of cycling in France visiting the D Day beaches. The trip starts at Caen and ends at St Malo and will cover around 300km. I'm not a regular cyclist so this will need a lot of training and spin classes at the gym!

I am raising money for my local hospitals who are looking to enhance the dedicated outdoor play areas at Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s Children’s wards; Safari (for inpatients) and Dolphin’s (for outpatients). Any raised funds will go towards purchasing play equipment for these outdoor areas and help to enhance the experience of our young patients’ during their visits to hospital.’

We couldn’t be more grateful to Eric for choosing to fundraise for our Charity and for helping us support the renovations of the Children’s outdoor spaces at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
