Ward 25 doughnut charity sale raises £829.72 Ward 25 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich has raised an impressive £829.72 through a charity doughnut sale to help create a calmer, more comforting space for end-of-life patients and their families. Staff, patients, and visitors at Queen Elizabeth Hospital were greeted with hundreds of Krispy Kreme Donuts, along with several other sweet treats on Tuesday 9th June. This was only possible thanks to the incredible hard work and dedication of Ailah Alvarez Ward 24 & 25 manager, who put in a Charity application for these Krispy Kreme donuts and purchased them. The event was made possible thanks to Ailah Alvarez, Ward 24 and 25 Manager, who secured the treats through a successful charity application. The sale, organised by Ailah and her team, drew crowds throughout the morning. By midday, every single box of doughnuts had sold out. Every donation goes directly toward enhancing patient comfort and family support services. The £829.72 raised will go towards: Portable sleeper beds for carers and family members to stay overnight. Memory boxes to help families create and keep cherished memories of their loved ones. Specialised equipment to maintain a calming environment for patients. Ailah Alvarez, Ward Manager said: "I am incredibly proud of the team for coming together to support such an important cause. End-of-life care is very close to our hearts, and we wanted to do something meaningful to help improve comfort and support for patients and their families during such a difficult time. We are very grateful to all the generous donors who supported the sale. Your kindness will really help us make a difference".
