As part of our continued effort to enhance the environment for our patients, visitors and staff at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, and thanks to the generosity of our supporters, our charity was able to fund new light installations at the Children's Outpatients department at University Hospital Lewisham.

Displaying engaging and colourful child focused illustrations, these 'sky light tiles' are featured in three examination rooms giving our younger patients something fun, colourful and eye catching to focus on during examinations or procedures.

Laura Crome, Matron for Children and Young People Services, University Lewisham Hospital said, "The ceiling LED lights in Kingfisher, Children's Outpatient have improved the environment for our patients who are undergoing procedures such as ECGs, being weighed, observations and echos. They provide distraction with their pleasant images to ensure procedures are as stress free for our patients as possible, in particular our neuro-diverse patients and those with communication difficulties."

We are truly grateful to the members of our community who donated to our charity to enable us to fund these light features, which are helping make such a difference to our young patients.
