Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Charity are delighted to announce that the recent LGT Colleague Garden fete at Queen Elizabeth Hospital helped our Charity raise £1,229. All of the money raised will go towards supporting our elderly patients in LGT.

The event, which was held in the QEH Conference Centre Garden last Friday, saw colleagues from all around the Trust come along to enjoy the varied activities on offer including a Tombola, live music and a cake stall.

The Garden fete was also host to our Spring Charity raffle, where we announced the winners of all the exciting prizes on offer.

Congratulations to all the winners of our Spring raffle and thank you to everyone who took part as your generous contributions helped us raise £1,229.

We also want to say a massive thank you to Abbie Ridgway, Temporary Staffing Coordinator, for hosting this event and securing all the incredible prizes supporters were able to win. We would also like to thank the Bank Office for supporting Abbie with the Garden Fete at the Conference Centre, which allowed for a wonderful day of homemade treats, games and live entertainment.

Abbie told us: “Thank you to all my team in temp staffing who helped organise the day, and a special thank you to Elaine Stewart and Rebecca Moriarty, who home baked all of the cakes for our cake sale.

“A huge thank you also to Hannah Bold, alongside her family, Simon and Lezlie, for providing the music throughout the fete. Also, to Kim Christopher, Jacky Hearn and Elaine Stewart for their kind donations in the Tombola.”

We are incredibly grateful for all of Abbie’s efforts, and we look forward to putting the funds raised towards supporting elderly care at the Trust.
